Meet your captains.
Davey and Lindsey Baird, the dynamic duo behind the wheel of the M/V Seabird, have owned and operated their business since 2020. Both born and raised in Homer, Alaska, they know the ins and outs of Kachemak Bay State Park better than most. Growing up in an incredible community surrounded by pristine waters and dramatic mountains has molded Davey and Lindsey’s passion for exploring the great outdoors, especially in their own backyard of Kachemak Bay. Their shared love for a grand adventure – and all of the glistening moments along the way – are what fuels their drive to share this special place with others in a safe and respectful way. They started Seabird Ventures as a way to do just that.
Both Lindsey and Davey are highly experienced naturalist guides, as well as Coast Guard licensed Captains, and are looking forward to sharing the wonders of Kachemak Bay with you.

Maddy graduated with her BS in biology this May and can't wait to tell you everything she knows about the birds and mammals of Kachemak Bay. Raised here in Homer, Alaska, she can also tell you about local favorites like where to get the best coffee. In her free time, Maddy likes to ski, hike, and sail with the Homer Yacht Club.
